SOUTHLAND OF THE HEART

Sometimes we don’t talk enough about all the films that are being produced here in North Carolina until they come out; and even then we don’t even scratch the surface. So something I think we’re going to try and do here at Second Cinema is talk about upcoming films, either in production or in post production. Films that are on our radar if you will.

One such film is Todd Tinkham’s SOUTHLAND OF THE HEART. Todd gave me a preview of the film at the end of last year and let me tell you, it’s going to blow you away.

The film looks fantastic, the story is touching, and the acting, especially by Jennifer Evans, is amazing, but this is what we come to expect from Tinkham, at least I do. From ALEXA to FOREVER to AMERICAN SHORT, Tinkham has been moving in this direction at every step. His first “feature length” film, and inspired by last year’s short MARY & JENNIFER, SOUTHLAND OF THE HEART takes the best of his art form and creates what is shaping up to be quite a masterpiece.

Written & directed by Todd Tinkham, the film features Jennifer Evans and Kerry Bogart as two friends in a race against time across rural North Carolina. Beautifully shot by Ken Peterson, Southland Of The Heart, is a cinematic pleasure to behold.
